Here’s the story … of two girls who played Bradys … and the joke about their alleged lesbian affair.
OK, OK, so it was too easy to use The Brady Bunch’s theme song to discuss the current controversy surrounding our favorite blended family, but why fight what feels right? Then again, maybe we should be asking Eve Plumb that question. She’s the actress who played the lovable-yet-tortured middle child Jan Brady on the hit ’70s sitcom.
See, according to Maureen McCormick (Marcia B.), all of the Brady kids are set to reunite on Oprah in September (thank goodness it’s not another made-for-TV movie). All, that is, except one: McCormick’s former best friend, Eve “Jan Brady” Plumb.
Marcia thinks Jan won’t commit due a joke she made about the two having a girl-on-girl kiss during the show’s run. Plumb’s camp says Oprah hasn’t called.
Conflicting views we can deal with, but now it’s threatening the reunion we’ve been waiting decades for!
So, will Eve Plumb sync her calendar with her TV siblings for the Oprah reunion? Of the voting members of the Predicto Mobile community, 77% predict that this family feud will end with Jan sitting alongside Bobby, Greg, Peter, Cindy and Marcia, Marcia, Marcia.
“It would be awesome and they should make a movie as well,” says member “dnra6623.”
“They are getting out of the public eye. Why bring them back?” asks “lbqq5437.”
“[Because,] she has to need the money,” says “ldci6374.”
Perhaps more importantly, according to “pogo123,” “You can’t say no to Oprah.”
Golly, we would love to see all the kids together, along with Mrs. Brady and Alice, too. Visit Predicto.com and sign up to vote on this and other pop culture, sports and entertainment surveys, and to see whether Jan joins the clan in September’s show. LeBron James joined the Cleveland Cavaliers to much fanfare in 2003, and was hailed as the greatest “straight out of high school” recruit the NBA had seen in a while. What’s currently out of sight, however, is James getting schooled by an underclassman.
King James was hosting his Skills Academy on Monday night when he apparently got dunked on by Xavier University’s Jordan Crawford in a pickup game.
It happens to the greatest basketball players, but stories say that Nike reps snatched the tapes of present videographers and may be causing a blackout online. No videos of the incident are on YouTube and those who did post them claim they were taken down within minutes of being posted.
Because everyone’s in a hurry to see this footage and because this is the age of the Internet, nearly 87% of voting members of the Predicto Mobile community expect that the video will be leaked by 8/25.
“LeBron James getting dunked on was a miracle,” says member “luzf3685.”
“The kid can use [the video] to show pro coaches what he can do,” says “Mr.Mouse169.”
“ … The college boy is going to want to prove what he did to a famous player,” says “iiuf4280.”
“Nike took the tape and they’re not going to let that tape surface,” says “jhvf7245,” one of the few who seemed to take an opposing stance.
Who do you agree with? And will Nike’s alleged blocking of the video prevent their poster boy’s humiliation? And does LeBron really have anything to be ashamed of? Having dominated the Billboard Hot 100 since April, one would think the Black Eyed Peas would be reveling in the success. Instead, they’re embroiled in controversy.
Their most notable scandal involves that incident with Perez Hilton, which ended up with their tour manager being arrested and the self-proclaimed Queen of All Media planning to press charges. Today’s drama comes from some beat-biting done on one of the songs from their recent album.
Apparently, their track “Party All the Time” has a similar sound to “Mancry” by UK electronic outfit, Freeland. Perezzers took it upon himself to post a YouTube video of the two song intros played back-to-back and remind us that this isn’t the first time a project associated with will.i.am has been accused of plagiarism.
Nearly 54% of the voting Predicto Mobile community predicts that the Black Eyed Peas will get sued for unauthorized sampling of Freeland’s song.
“I think they should get sued like everyone else. Just because they’re celebrities doesn’t mean they can get away with it,” says “yoez5933,” who voted yes.
“They knew what they did and should not have done it. Now they need to pay the penalty,” says yes-voting “mnvikings56401.”
“I think honestly that the Black Eyed Peas will get out of it because they have the money,” says “ufal4547,” who along with “zlkj4876, voted no. “Black Eyed Peas are awesome on their own. They wouldn’t need to steal,” says “zlkj4876.”
Will the Peas be taken to court, even though legal matters allegedly prevented the rights from being secured in time? Oprah … Ellen … Tyra … Sarah? Former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is bailin’ out of her role as the governor of Alaska at the end of the month for reasons which have yet to be explained. Is it because a scandal is coming that will taint her tenure in office? Is she tired of the backlash her family has received while in the public spotlight? Or does Palin have ambitions of Oprah-like proportions?
Rumors are rampant that John McCain’s ex-running mate has been in talks with the networks to be a conservative voice on the talk-show circuit. With a book also in the works, and an ability to rally pro-lifers and those who believe in small government, Palin just might be a softer, approachable and much more likeable version of Ann Coulter.
“I think that a Sarah Palin talk show [would] be a nice show. She looks like she can connect with many,” says Predicto Mobile member “cnqw8704.”
“[But] even if Palin does get a talk show, I don’t think that very many people will watch it, except maybe the ones that voted for her and [John] McCain,” counters “ztwt9152.”
Since the number of registered Republicans and Democrats is so close in this country, it’s no surprise that nearly 51% of the Predicto Mobile community predicts that Sarah Palin will announce she’s getting a talk show by 11/20. But some think her motivation is a bit more egotistical.
“I think that Palin just wants more attention and fame than she will ever get from being governor,” says “rory5268.”
“I can’t imagine her putting herself out there even more after the way the public has crucified her from the start,” says “sezy7839.”
If Sarah P. gets a show, will you tune in? And most importantly, will Tina Fey have to find a new victim to lampoon? Visit Predicto.com to find out if Palin does indeed get her own platform to discuss her platforms, as well as get the answers to other pop culture quizzes and to answer questions just like this right on your mobile phone. Albert Pujols has 30 home runs this season. The only other St. Louis Cardinal to have such an impressive streak of hits prior to an All-Star game was Mark McGwire, though his 37-homer run in 1998 has an asterisk attached.
Pujols now has several months left to catch up with McGwire, who went on to have 70 home runs in that year’s derby with Sammy Sosa.
Can Pujols make it past the 70-homer mark? Well, Predicto Mobile community members predict that he won’t cross that threshold, with 51% voting no.
“Breaking records in baseball nowadays is akin to holding up a neon sign that says ‘Check for steroids here,’” says member “nwyd4298.”
“Pujols will not break McGwire’s record, but Pujols [will] hit over 60 home runs this season,” says “Bmay75.”
“Ldci6374” is convinced he can crank out that many hits, but “He needs the juice to do it!”
“He is so close,” says “riah100,” “I will be rooting for him.”
Find out if Pujols will score bragging rights this season or if he strikes out by visiting Predicto.com. Sign up to vote in surveys about the hottest topics in sports, pop culture and entertainment, and don’t forget to become a Predicto fan on Facebook!

Perez Hilton, the self-proclaimed “Queen of All Media,” has ruled the celebrity gossip game for years — even though his site is rarely the first to break news. His phallic drawings and off-Internet antics are enough to attract millions of hungry gossipmongers each month.
TMZ (“Thirty-Mile Zone”), on the other hand, had to settle for being somewhat entertaining and usually accurate, but rarely able to crack into Hilton’s numbers. Last week changed everything.
See, Perez was in the middle of some drama with the Black Eyed Peas over that black eye he got from their manager. This, along with his refusal to apologize for using a gay slur against BEP’s will.i.am., caused a spike in Hilton’s traffic. Then TMZ broke the earth-shattering news of the death of Michael Jackson.
Since then, TMZ has dominated in Web traffic numbers, and has been cited by (and become the source of discussion for) such reputable news outlets as CNN and The Los Angeles Times. Plus, the site — whose TV cousin features budget meetings run by lawyer and ex-People’s Court commentator Harvey Levin — continues to break news about Jackson’s death, which is shaping up to be one of the most compelling clusterf*cks in pop culture history.
Meanwhile, the battle for celebrity-stalking supremacy continues, with 70% of Predicto Mobile community members predicting that TMZ will reign as Web-traffic champ through July.
“Perez’s stuff is never as good as TMZ’s and Perez displays his information poorly,” says “qtht0318.”
“I hate Perez Hilton. He shouldn’t even have a site,” says “tanya8221.”
“TMZ is the better gossip blog,” says “qmnq9465.” “[But] Hilton is a bigger gossip,” says “jas11889.”
“Hilton got hit. That alone will make gossip,” says “offw4000.”
One of these sites will land the final punch, so visit Predicto.com to find out who. You can also sign up and vote in surveys just like this one about the hottest topics in sports, pop culture and entertainment. Want even more Predicto? Head over to Facebook and become a fan.
