Some actresses are gifted and deserve every accolade they receive. This includes Paris Hilton.

You see, she’s been nominated for Worst Actress of the Year for her role in The Hottie and The Nottie. It doesn’t even matter who her competition is, because the Razzies were invented to honor an “actress” like Paris.

Paris is talented in her own special way. A lot of people can be adequate or mediocre, but our favorite tabloid target elevates awfulness to a level of transcendence.

Here’s just a sampling of her reviews:

“Hilton’s face, like her name, is a hotel, but one in which every room is sparkling and vacant.” — New York Daily News

“[Hilton is] limited to a single, all-too-familiar expression of smug self-satisfaction, and she delivers her lines in a tone somewhere between ’seductive’ and ‘dish-soap commercial.’” — The Onion (A.V. Club)

“She resembles nothing so much as a tiny blond velociraptor.” — Boston Globe

Ouch! Anyway, the Predicto Mobile community agrees with the movie critics: 80% believe that Paris Hilton will win a Razzie for Worst Actress.

I doubt Paris will stop trying to act; I can only hope that Hollywood will stop giving her opportunities to do so. (Like you, Todd Solondz.)
