Beyonce is inescapable these days. “Single Ladies” is dominating the Billboard charts, and everyone’s throwing up YouTube videos of themselves doing the “Single Ladies” dance. Her I Am…Sasha Fierce album is selling well, and she even starred in Cadillac Records, a movie that didn’t get good box office, but got great reviews.
Beyonce’s dominating pop culture more than ever before, so it’s no surprise that Beyonce garnered 6 NAACP Image Award nominations for all her various creative output. She’s nominated for Best Album, Artist, Video (twice in this category), Supporting Actress, Song, and Metal Glove. Well, maybe not that last one.
Still, right now Miss Fierce is enjoying a fierce time in her career. But is she so fierce that she’ll sweep all her categories? The Predicto Mobile community is split — 51% voted that Beyonce will win all 6 NAACP Image Awards she was nominated.

It’s 2009, so you know what we need? The reunion of a uber-popular boy band from the nineties!
You see, Lance Bass told Billboard.com that he still hopes to reunite the group one day. And somehow he thinks that Justin Timberlake would be interested. Oh Lance, how adorably naive!
Justin Timberlake has zero impetus for returning to the band that launched him into superstardom and relegated his bandmates to reality shows and failed solo projects. I’m sure he likes those other guys well enough, but I can’t imagine JT is so loyal that he would want to do those “Bye Bye Bye” dance moves ever again in his lifetime.
I bet Lance, Chris, JC and Joey will eventually reunite without Justin simply because they have nothing else to do. The question is, will they do so in 2009? 52% of the the Predicto Mobile community believes that ‘N Sync will reunite without Justin Timberlake this year.
Here’s the thing: boy band reunions only work if all of its members have flailing careers to resuscitate. Take the New Kids on the Block. None of those guys were too famous to rejoin the band to make some extra bucks, so they were all equally committed to singing the old hits and pretending they still liked each other.
If one of them didn’t show up (especially one of the “heartthrobs” like Joey or Jonathan) then nobody would give a crap about hearing four middle-aged men keening “Please Don’t Go Girl.”
The one exception? Recruit another boy bander to take Justin’s place! Someone unexpected and awesome, like former New Edition frontman Bobby Brown. Now that would be worth seeing!

Happy New Year! And what better way to start out 2009 then with the inauguration of our new president, the 2008 Person of the Year?
Barack Obama will be sworn in on Jan. 20th in our nation’s capitol, and its the party that practically every person in this country wants to attend. (Except Republicans, who are planning to get the heck out of Dodge that weekend.)
But how many will brave the massive crowds and exorbitant hotel costs to stand shoulder to shoulder for hours in icy, bone-chilling weather?
I know what you’re thinking. 1 million people from around the world went to NYC’s Times Square this year to see the ball drop on New Year’s Eve–and that little event happens every year.
The Obama inaugural is a much more historic occurrence. Plus he’s revered like a superhero, and has an adorable family and A-list celeb supporters to boot. So perhaps the real question is: just how many people are going anyway?
Well, the Predicto Mobile community thinks that it will be a lot. In fact, 88% voted that more than 2 million people will attend President-Elect Obama’s swearing-in ceremony.
In any case, no matter how many people go, it will definitely be the largest crowd to ever attend a presidential inauguration in U.S. history!
