I’m not in the habit of starting rumors–but I can’t help spreading them! Perez Hilton is speculating that our First Lady Michelle Obama is pregnant.

A “bump watch” for Michelle sounds pretty tacky, doesn’t it? But I guess people would like this rumor to be true because America’s already in love with the First Family, and a brand new baby born to our beloved Commander-in-Chief would elevate the poor Obama clan to crazy levels of excitement and scrutiny. Especially if the First Baby was a boy. (OMG, Barack Jr!)

Lately our usual go-to celebs for fun and scandal–Lindsay, Britney, Paris, plus the Jen/Brad/Angie triangle–have been pretty boring. No one’ s shaving their heads or dating wildly inappropriate people.

So if Michelle is expecting, the tabloids will be all over this story like Amy Winehouse on crack. On the bright side, this story could save magazines like US Weekly and Star Magazine from folding. (Sample articles could include “Oh-Baby: The Obamas are Preggers!” and “Sasha and Malia Want to Name the Baby After a Jonas Brother.”)

The Predicto Mobile community is pretty split on this one: 50% predicted that Michelle Obama will confirm rumors that she is pregnant by 4/10.

By the way, an Obama baby would be only the second born in the White House. (President Grover Cleveland became a daddy while in office in 1893).  Could it happen again?
