It’s Grand Ole Opry week on American Idol! This means that our contestants will be tackling songs by iconic country stars like Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.
 This also means that one of the Idol kids will perform “I Will Always Love You,” a Dolly tune made famous by Whitney Houston. (Sigh. It’s too obvious and predictable for them to resist.)
But its the only guarantee we can make, because country music can be difficult to sing for those raised on a steady diet of Top 40 radio hits. So who will be voted out this time?
The Predicto Mobile community thinks this week’s victim will be Randy Jackson’s favorite “dogg”: 36% predict Anoop will be voted off on 3/18. (22% say Megan, 16% say Scott, and 26% say that none of these singers will be eliminated.)
This week’s show will also be the first time we might see the “Judge’s Save” in action. For the first time in the show’s history, the judges can band together to save a contestant from being eliminated if they think he or she doesn’t deserve to go.
Sounds kinda fishy right? Especially when you consider that an unnamed source who works for the show claims that Idol producers have already predetermined the Final Four.
The judges haven’t hidden the fact that they favor Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey, the two guys supposedly picked to make the final episodes. But would they actually decide to save either of them using their veto power?
The Predicto Mobile community is pretty split on this issue–36% say the Idol judges will choose Danny, while 27% say Adam and 37% believe neither will be saved.
It will be interesting to see who will be kicked off the show to the tune of Carrie Underwood’s version of “Home Sweet Home” this week (or if anyone will be spared!).

We all know Jennifer Aniston’s due for a major change. The girl can’t keep making mediocre romantic comedies, like the stalkerish movie Management , which features Jen with a bad haircut and a guy who asks to touch her butt.
 And she definitely should move on from discussing her ex-husband and her on-again/off-again boyfriend.
So we welcome Jen’s declaration to Elle UK that she wants to be a Bond Girl. Her giddy quote on the topic: “I’d love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig!”
Yes! This is something that would invigorate her increasingly stale movie career.
Instead of trying to romance a guy, she should take him down with her knife-sharp stilettos or poisonous lipstick. Who knows–maybe it would even be cathartic for her!
The Predicto Mobile community agrees: 60% say that Jennifer Aniston’s dream to get cast as a Bond Girl will come true in 2009.
Looks like the producers of the Bond movies heard Jen wants to be the next Plenty O ‘Toole, because an entertainment website reports that she is screen testing for a role in the next Daniel Craig-as-007 movie. Let’s hope she gets it, and a punny Bond Girl name to go along with it!

Okay failing U.S. economy, this just isn’t right. How can even Sesame Street be affected by layoffs?
 The Sesame Workshop has just announced it is cutting 20% of its workforce. If you’re a fan of Big Bird, Elmo, and all the other muppets from the Street, you have to be worried that they will soon end up on the, well, street.
Big Bird and Elmo are not going anywhere of course–they’re too popular and iconic. (And those Tickle Me Elmos make enough money to feed a small country.)
But what about poor Grover? He’s a lovable loser, and he’s been on Sesame Street since the disco era. Will someone decide he’s expendable and end his appearances on the show? Or how about Oscar the Grouch? In these tough times, will anyone put up with his bad attitude?
The Predicto Mobile community thinks we’re being paranoid: 56% say that no Sesame Street muppets will be retired due to the show’s layoffs by 4/25.

Let’s face it: Paula Abdul is crazy.
 Maybe she was always like this and we just didn’t notice during her “Straight Up”/dancing with a cat heyday. Or maybe her role as American Idol judge caused her loopiness.
In either case, despite her increasingly slurred delivery and glittery makeup, right now she’s the best judge on the show.
(Note: this is not a joke. We are not being sarcastic. Really!)
During the Top 13 show, the woman complained that Simon was undressing her and that one of the Michael Jackson songs being performed was a number one hit in Norway. (Like Simon, we’re sure she was making that up.)
Okay, that was all totally crazy–no denying it. And the way she came close to drowning in a pool of her own tears when overpraising Adam “The Overly Enunciating Rocker” Lambert was sorta disturbing.
But here’s our theory: the longer Paula has to ramble on about a contestant’s performance, the more she indulges in word vomit like “you’re so pretty and we adore you and you’re inspiring to America.” Yet when her time is limited, she can nail it.
Take Alexis Grace, who gave a pretty awesome performance of “Dirty Diana” that tended towards caterwauling near the end. All Paula had time to say was “great job but be careful of oversinging.” Isn’t that better advice than Kara telling Alexis “you’re a naughty girl and I like it”?
Randy eats up most of his judging time saying “yo, yo, yo,” while Simon seems to have checked out completely. He told Scott “I’m in the Top 13 Cuz I’m Visually Impaired” McIntyre that Idol was not about being artistic.
If that’s the case, everyone should just get up there and lip-sync Celine Dion songs or something. Paula is whole pile of crazy, but even she wouldn’t say that.

Dancing with the Stars is launching its new season tonight, with another batch of C-listers slipping on some sequined costumed to see if they can waltz, cha cha and foxtrot like pros.
Two of this season’s celebs are out even before the show started–Jewel and Nancy O’Dell injured themselves during practice sessions and are rumored to be replaced by two ex-girlfriends (Hugh Hefner and Bachelor Jason’s former flames).
 But which dancer will be voted out first once they’ve had a chance to actually perform? Here are three dancers to keep an eye on as DWTS’ first casualty:
Steve “The Woz” Wozniak. The portly tech geek is best known for designing early incarnations of Apple computers and sort of dating Kathy Griffin. He doesn’t seem like the fittest guy in the competition (it’s hard to imagine him twirling his partner Karina Smirnoff around the dance  floor). But he’s rich and sort of a genius–maybe he’s been secretly training for this for years!
Steve-O. This guy is famous for his crazy stunts on MTV’s Jackass, like stapling his body parts or inhaling a worm through his nose. DWTS might be too boring for someone who makes his living as a daredevil. The guy can withstand pain, no doubt, but does he have the work ethic to compete in the weekly dance competition?
Lil’ Kim. She’s a real wildcard. Obviously she has the talent, but she seems like the kind of person who doesn’t follow the rules–after all, she  watched DWTS while in prison. Will she really care if she doesn’t do the paso doble to the judges’ exacting standards? Probably not.
Who will be voted off the dancefloor first? 41 % of the Predicto Mobile community say that it will be Steve-O (31% say The Woz and 28% say Lil’ Kim).

Watchmen has been the most highly anticipated movie since The Dark Knight–the internet has been buzzing with leaked footage and spoilers for almost a year. Now that the movie can finally be seen legally, the question is will people flock to theaters to watch it?
 Movie critics have been pretty divided, not that critical reception is always a factor in movies that have gazillion dollar budgets. Plus, the Watchmen superheroes are really odd looking (like that naked blue guy, what’s up with him?) which might actually pique the interest of those unfamiliar with the comic book series the movie is based on.
The Predicto Mobile community agrees: 64% predict that Watchmen will make more than $70 million at the box office this weekend.

Before Octomom made national headilnes, the most famous family with multiples was the Gosselin clan on TLC’s hit show Jon and Kate Plus 8.
The two seemed to fumble through parenthood with their twins and sextuplets with good grace and energy, at least in the early episodes. But now it seems that reality TV fame has gone to Kate’s head.
She can’t go a single episode without belittling poor Jon. Seriously, Jon could discover the cure for cancer or bring peace to the Middle Eastand she would still find reasons to disparage him.
He is the poster boy for henpecked husbands everywhere, and gets ridiculed constantly for accepting his wife’s attitude towards him with a sheepish shrug.
So we must admit that we weren’t surprised to read rumors of Jon cheating on Kate. Kate probably emasculates him every hour of his life, so it isn’t shocking that he might be partying with college students so he can feel better about himself.
Kate can’t be too pleased to hear that her husband has been getting drunk with comely co-eds. But will this news cause their marriage to fall apart? Well, 67% of the Predicto Mobile community predict that Jon and Kate will NOT split up by 5/15.

Oh Jason. OH JASON.
 What were you possibly thinking proposing to Melissa?
If you were that upset about breaking up with Molly (the sobbing, the flailing, the dramatic leaning over the terrace), were you really ready to ask someone else to marry you?
It seems the producers of The Bachelor were right: this really was the most dramatic season ever. Because nothing is more awkwardly entertaining than seeing two people break up on national television.
The best part was when Melissa muttered “you are such a bastard” when her former fiance came up with vague excuses for dumping her. If only she had kept the engagement ring–at least she should get something for her public humiliation and heartbreak!
Will Molly also be a victim of Jason’s wishy-washy decision making? Because there didn’t seem to be any specific reason why Jason thought Molly was more ideal for him than poor Melissa, except that he and Melissa lacked chemistry “in the real world.”
Perhaps it wasn’t Melissa’s fault; after all, dating isn’t so fun if you’re sitting at home watching cartoons with Ty rather than enjoying fantasy dates in New Zealand.
Plus, if he can propose to and break up with a woman in the span of six weeks, doesn’t that mean he’s capable of doing it again?

What was Rihanna thinking?
 Over the weekend, the tabloids reported that she and Chris Brown spent time together at Diddy’s Miami mansion. And today TMZ has pictures of the two of them arriving in L.A. via private jet.
Rihanna needs a good talking to from Tina Turner, who unfortunately knows all too well about abusive relationships with a famous partner. Wouldn’t it be awesome if Tina could stage an intervention for the young pop star?
We can only hold out hope that Rihanna went to see Chris to make a final break of their relationship. (Yes, we realize this is unlikely.)
She has yet to comment on the status of her relationship, but the Predicto Mobile community thinks she will soon: 72% predict Rihanna will confirm she is still dating Chris Brown by 4/15.
