For the first time ever, we have an all-male American Idol finale. Let’s break down the Top 3, shall we?
Adam “Rockin the Guyliner” Lambert: Adam’s been the early favorite since the semis, so for him to miss the finale would be the biggest disappointment in the show’s history. Fear not, Glambert fans: he’s in no danger of going home. Really, it’s just a matter of who he’ll be going up against next week.
Kris “The Ladies Love Me” Allen: Yes, teen girls are the main reason Kris is still hanging in there. But he’s also a talented guy, and it’s nice to see someone so low-key in personality and performance get this far on Idol. He’s a stark contrast to Adam and Danny’s flashiness and swagger, which is something that might just propel him to the Final 2.
Danny “I’m Still Here Despite That Awful Note” Gokey: Gokey got fans. Loads and loads and loads of them. Because how else can he still be in the competition after letting loose a howl that made the entire country cringe and cover their ears? Even though the judges gave Danny get a pass for his ear-splitting version of “Dream On”, we wonder if he deserves to get into the finale after that disaster.

Predicto peeps: this week’s Idol is going to RAWK.
Adam and Allison were made for this week’s theme, which allows them to fully let their freak flags fly. We’re talking rebel yells, headbanging and air guitar solos. Woo!
Even Danny has a decent shot at nailing his rock performance, since he has a semi-soulful growl. Even more importantly, he is the only person this season not yet banished to the Silver Stools O’Doom, aka the bottom two.
But we’re worried for Kris. He’s just so sweet and delicate, you know?
If Adam is KISS (theatrical rock), Allison is Heart (feisty rock) and Danny is Pete Seeger (old-fashioned rock), then Kris is…the Jonas Brothers.
That’s no disrespect to Kris–he’s done some outstanding performances this season. Bu they have all included him crooning mid-tempo numbers while earnestly strumming his guitar. We just don’t think he’s edgy enough for the genre, especially compared to the other Idol kids.
But the Predicto party people beg to differ! 52% of the Predicto Mobile community predict that Kris Allen will NOT be voted off American Idol on 5/6. Predicto member “aeast0108″ speaks for many voters when she points out that “the vote of the 12-year old girl always saves the heartthrobs.”
