A King Has Fallen: Michael Jackson Dies at 50

Michael Jackson 2Everyone was taken by surprise when they heard the news about the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on Thursday. As a living legend, Jackson inspired generations of hitmakers from Usher to Justin Timberlake to Beyoncé.

“I love Michael Jackson. His music is classic, timeless, legendary,” says Predicto Mobile community member “pugd7204.” Indeed, fans who feel the same way were anxious for his upcoming 50 concerts in London that were slated to begin July 13. Jackson was rehearsing up until the day before his death.

As of this writing, the specific cause of his cardiac arrest has yet to be determined, but stories are circulating that Jackson’s doctor might have injected him with any number of drugs that could have led to his heart failure.

“Can’t believe he’s gone! The world will mourn his passing just like Elvis!” says “dkiq5881.”

There seems to be no better way to remember the superstar than through his music, as fans have made a mad rush to sites like iTunes and Amazon to download Jackson’s best-loved songs. Because of that, 71% of those who cast their virtual ballot think Michael Jackson will rule the iTunes top 10 by 7/1, though his music may stand on its own merits.

“Michael Jackson was always a great artist and will always be remembered!” says “vluk6780.” “Michael Jackson was and is still the greatest pop singer that ever lived. He will never be forgotten by anyone in my family … or the planet. We love you,” says “obdu7834.”

At the moment of this writing, Jackson is claiming six of the top 10 spots with “Man in the Mirror,” “Thriller,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough,” “Smooth Criminal” and “Black or White.”

“If you don’t already have the songs, you’re just not a fan,” says “ldci6374.”

i feel bad for the family, i to grew up listening the jacksons and following them as they grew up.my prayers out to the children of MJ and the mother of the children, it was a very quick decision for the judge to give the grandmother custody of the children, it seems to me this had been planed the whole time, i personally feel each child should be with its biological mother and go from their and give the grand parents the visitation not the other way around, i saw that MS jackson got the gardianship but not control over the estate of each child and thats the way it should be, MJ klnew what he was doing when he had different people set aside to helpwith his children and their futures.
Family has a tendency to get $ crazy when someone near and dear to their heart dies, and i hope that the Jacksons can remember who is hurting the most at this point and that is his child, fans can deal, family memembers can pray and be there for each other but lets not forget the children and how bad they are hurting at this time and im sure the more that is seen on tv the more painful it is for the children. God bless you, you are the angles that deserver the prayers and attention at this time, your father is in heaven looking down on you and will always be alive in your hearts ,so dont pay attion to the negative just the positvie and the pain will lessen with time. This guy was “overhandled” and exploited from the get go. His talent was so huge and those around him were so ethically small that he was doomed from the start. RIP KOP

  5. [...] See, Perez was in the middle of some drama with the Black Eyed Peas over that black eye he got from their manager. This, along with his refusal to apologize for using a gay slur against BEP’s will.i.am., caused a spike in Hilton’s traffic. Then TMZ broke the earth-shattering news of the death of Michael Jackson.
