Chris Brown took to YouTube yesterday and made his first public statement regarding “the incident,” also known as when he attacked his ex-girlfriend Rihanna just hours before this year’s Grammy Awards.
In the video, Brown expresses his sadness for what went down, how she should have handled the situation differently and that he’s apologized to RiRi multiple times since then. He also talked of demonstrating more role model-like behavior in the future.
Since “the incident,” Brown has been blacklisted from radio stations, and has had his once-massive career reduced to minor courtside appearances and blog fodder. Now that he’s finally made a statement and apologized, will Rihanna go public with her acceptance of Chris saying he’s sorry?
