Is Howard Stern’s “Mistresses of Tiger Woods” Pageant Pay-Per-View Bound?

Friday, February 26th, 2010

It was only a matter of time before something of this caliber was attempted, but we’ll admit — we’re a little shocked it’s actually going to happen.

Let’s back up a bit. By now everyone has heard about Tiger Woods’ infamous car crash, his tail-chasing ways and the bevy of lost sponsorships. Ever since that fateful day, the world’s best golfer has been caught in a perfect gossip storm speculating on everything from his return to golf to steroid use to a love child.

Through it all, women have been coming out of the hottest bars, hotels and X-rated flicks claiming to have had relations with Tiger “Cheetah” Woods. His harem is reportedly an exclusive club of at least 15 women.

So far, no one has successfully brought these women together in one location. Leave it to the King of All Media, Howard Stern, to accomplish this endeavor. Stern is reportedly hosting a pageant to crown Tiger’s Best Mistress on March 10.

The competition will include typical swimsuit, talent and personality tests. None of the mistresses have been revealed just yet, but four are reported to be joining in the competition — and one of them isn’t ex-cocktail waitress Rachel Uchitel, who can’t participate because of legal reasons.

This could be the most anticipated and scandalous event of 2010 — surely someone has to be cashing in on it, right?

We went straight to the Predicto Mobile community to get their thoughts on the Mistresses of Tiger Woods Pageant and asked if Howard Stern’s one-of-a-kind event would be televised via pay-per-view television. Given Stern’s reputation, it’s not surprising that nearly 59% of voting members say yes!

“Everybody loves Howard and everybody loves to hate Tiger,” says member “ooof4321.”

“Stern’s always gonna do something to keep America interested,” says “mrnm7668.”

“Leave the poor fool alone. Hasn’t he been humiliated enough?” asks “vkse2653.”

“They should not be getting all of this attention. They behaved badly and should be ashamed,” says “zmyy8129.”

With Sheen in Rehab, is “Two and a Half Men” in Trouble?

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Christmas day wasn’t a happy one for Charlie Sheen. The star of Two and a Half Men allegedly assaulted and held his wife, Brooke Mueller, at knifepoint while the couple was vacationing in Aspen, Colo.

Charlie was thrown in jail after the incident. Mueller began cooperating with the police during their investigation, but swiftly stopped as the pair reportedly began the process of working things out. Even weeks after the incident, Brooke and Charlie were trying to move on from the incident, as Sheen was given permission by a judge to visit Mueller in the hospital, despite a previous restraining order. (There was also a mysterious car crash.)

Sheen and Mueller are the parents of twin boys, who are now being taken care of by nannies due to Brooke already being in rehab, reportedly for alcohol abuse, and Sheen’s admission to a separate rehab facility on Tuesday for a two-week stint. It’s rumored that he is also getting alcohol-related counseling.

That makes Charlie unavailable to film any episodes of his highly successful sitcom, Two and a Half Men. With three episodes ready to be aired, Sheen’s absence will prevent the cast from finishing out the season in the coming weeks.

But with Charlie checking into rehab and planning to stay for only two weeks, will the crew of the hit CBS show resume filming by 3/10? Voting members of the Predicto Mobile community have spoken and 69% say the cast will get back to work by that date!

“The show is too good not to come back,” says member “smas2200.” “They’ll figure out a way.”

“I don’t think the show will resume filming that quick, it will be another month at least,” says “JG24Fan.”

“Just because Charlie is being stupid doesn’t mean they should stop,” says “vtwi5631.”

Will Sheen join his fellow castmates at the soundstage in time to complete the season? You can find out by registering to play at Predicto.com. Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains — Who Will Win?

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Survivor, arguably one of the innovators of modern reality television, is celebrating a milestone this spring: its 20th season!

Naturally, the show’s producers had to do something monumental to bring viewers from previous seasons back to watching CBS’ hit show. They’ve succeeded by pitting the game’s all-star roster of heroes against some of the most hated villains in Survivor history.

On the side of good are the likes of muscly gravedigger James Clement (from the China and Micronesia editions), hippie Rupert Boneham (Pearl Islands and All-Stars) and country boy Colby Donaldson (Australia, All-Stars).

On the dark side of the island, the Villains’ roster includes Jerri “Man-eater” Manthey (Australia, All-Stars), “Boston” Rob Mariano (Marquesas, All-Stars) and Ben “Coach” Wade (Tocatins).

Anyone who has watched any season of Survivor knows there are many aspects to the game. There are the grueling physical challenges, the unpredictable tropical weather and, most importantly, the ever-changing social game, where players build alliances only to pick off their competition through a series of Tribal Councils.

Some players have approached the game with integrity and pride, while others have exhibited deception and anything else it takes to win the show’s million-dollar prize. Now, as the two sets of traits battle it out, who will come out on top?

Voting Predicto members think good shall triumph over evil, with 60% of them expecting a hero to take home the $1 million check at season’s end.

See what voters had to say?

Who do you think the tribe will pick as sole survivor? You can find out by registering to play at Predicto.com. Along with being able to vote on surveys just like this, you’ll receive texts when the answers are revealed. Want more Predicto? Become a fan on Facebook!

Who Will Get Jake’s Final Rose on The Bachelor?

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Well, it’s that time again: a blandly handsome man will choose a wife on national television–or at least to choose to date her for an indefinite amount of time.

Yes, Jake Palvelka is coming to the end of his interminably long group date that is The Bachelor, narrowing 25 ladies to merely two: Tenley and Vienna.  (With names so awkwardly trendy, these two were bound to become reality TV show contestants.)

The last women standing both have tabloid-friendly back stories involving ex-husbands. Vienna allegedly stole $50,000 from her ex-husband while he was serving in the military, while Tenley’s former spouse has accused her of withholding sex during their marriage.

But that’s where the similarities end, since Tenley is portrayed as the  good girl taking a second chance at love, while Vienna is the scheming vixen who makes Jake’s eyes pop out like a cartoon character.

The Predicto Mobile community has been weighing in on this love story for the ages, and they are split 50/50 on the recipient of Jake’s final rose. Team Tenley is best represented by this member’s comment: “I think Tenley will win because she is best for Jake. She is the nicest and will probably treat him good.”

Not surprisingly, Team Vienna doesn’t really exist. As one user commented resignedly, “Vienna is awful; I just know he is going to pick the most fake girl.”

Will Danica Patrick Win Her NASCAR Racing Debut?

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Danica Patrick is one of the most talked about women in sports. It’s not just because of her wildly popular commercials for GoDaddy.com or her upcoming guest spot on CSI: NY.

No, Patrick is more than just a pretty face gracing magazine covers (though she does that, too). The 27-year-old has been a newsmaker for nearly five years, breaking barriers as a driver for the IndyCar Racing Series, and often ranking high at flag finishes and in fan-favorite polls.

Last weekend, Danica participated in her first stockcar race at the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) race in Daytona Beach, Fla. She placed sixth in her initial go round in this particular type of car. That made today’s announcement even more exciting: Danica will fasten her seatbelt for another stockcar race in Daytona, specifically the National Series on Saturday!

This will mark Patrick’s first race in a NASCAR event. Given her strong place at the ARCA race, will she be able to score a big racing win at the National Series? Predicto Mobile players and NASCAR aficionados have had their say and 61% have voted with a resounding no!

See their reasons why by clicking here!

Danica is no stranger to proving her critics wrong. Will she do just that to the Predicto Mobile community by winning the National Series race on Saturday? Will Howard Stern Judge American Idol?

Friday, February 5th, 2010

Simon Cowell is exiting American Idol once the current season wraps in May. He’ll be taking his shtick to his own Idol-like show, The X Factor, in which solo and group contestants will compete for the chance to become pop’s next superstar.

But back to Idol. The show introduced us to the British destroyer of dreams, who held nothing back in the way of honest criticism. He often offended contestants, had a short fuse for bad singing and crushed the spirit of anyone who utilized a gimmick to get on TV.

For many, Simon is the reason they watch American Idol: he says what so many in the television audience wanted to say, but was bold enough to actually say it. With ever-happy Ellen DeGeneres replacing the often dazed and confused Paula Abdul in a move that seems to be pleasing fans, who could possibly take the place of the king of mean?

One name that is floating around is that of the king of all media, Howard Stern. The shock jock has been known to speak his mind on any and all topics. He even ditched his syndicated terrestrial radio gig to move to Sirius Satellite Radio back in 2004 in order to escape the rules and regulations of the FCC.

No stranger to controversy himself, Stern seems like he would have no problem upstaging Idol’s contestants with his opinionated and straight-for-the-jugular thoughts on their singing abilities.

Though it’s not really the type of gig we’d expect from Howie, is it out of the realm of possibility? Stern has recently talked about leaving Sirius and his contract with the satellite broadcaster ends in January 2011 — the month in which Idol would begin its 10th season.

We asked the Predicto Mobile community, and the votes and opinions came out in droves — nearly 64% of voting members think Stern will NOT join the judging panel of American Idol.

“I feel his reputation would precede him. American Idol is watched by all ages. Families wouldn’t want to risk him making any inappropriate comments,” says member “mswf6696.”

“Comi5030” disagreed with that statement, saying “they’ll get someone radical and unafraid to be outspoken!”

“I would think he’s way too controversial and egotistical to judge the contestants,” says “rpxy2438.”

“He should stick to what he’s been doing for quite sometime now, he’s good at it,” says “obye6830.”

Jenny McCarthy: Back to Playboy?

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

No, you’re not seeing things.

Standing at 5’6” with vital stats of 39-24-34, Jenny McCarthy has been an object of fantasy for millions of young men all over the world over. Her October 1993 centerfold in Playboy when she was 20 years old catapulted the busty blond bombshell to superstardom. She was crowned Playmate of the Year, and soon after started doing hosting work for TV shows on Playboy’s cable channel and MTV. She went on to star in movies, host her own TV talk show, became a mother and authored books. She also does advocacy work, particularly raising funds for autism, and is one of the most famous vegans in the world. Not bad, eh?

She’s a superstar, which is a far cry from her initial dreams of making money from Playboy modeling to pay for college. Through the ’90s, she was one of the most desired women in the world. People thought that getting on in years would slow her down, but it didn’t seem to hinder her work. Even in the current millennium, she still keeps herself scintillatingly hot in her 30s and she continues to do parts in films while still being a mother to her son, Evan.

There are many girls today who still can’t hold a candle to her vibrant sex appeal as she nears 40! Apart from doing movies and TV work, she’s been writing books on parenting and pregnancy.

What keeps her in the showbiz game isn’t simply her looks — true, it’s in large part to her sexy body — but it is also because of her larger-than-life, brash yet down-to-earth simple persona that just continues to grab people’s attention.

Now there’s talk of completing the circle. Amid the news that Hugh Hefner is close to settling down, and rumors of how a trend is arising towards choosing cover girls who aren’t as young as in previous years, interesting speculation has come. The word on the street is that Jenny McCarthy could be set for a return to the cover of Playboy magazine, even after four cover appearances between 1993 and today. Yes, she’s still got it! And there may be an announcement forthcoming!

Or will there?

We took the question to the Predicto Mobile community and we came up with a resounding 76% vote of yes, she will be making an announcement of her return to Playboy come the 10th of March.

Predicto Ponders: Will Lady Antebellum Make It to No. 1?

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

If you don’t already know who Lady Antebellum is, you soon will.

The red-hot country trio of Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott just scored their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 album chart, Need You Now.

With the initial success of their sophomore effort, attention is turning back to the album’s title track. “Need You Now” peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 back in November of 2009, but the group recently introduced the song to non-country music fans during a performance at the Grammys on Sunday.

The nationwide audience has responded quite positively to Lady Antebellum, pushing the single to the No. 1 position on iTunes over the last few days.

With its pop appeal and ear-pleasing melodies, will “Need You Now” be able to power past acts such as Ke$ha, Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift and Young Money to claim the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100? Despite its performance thus far, only 37% of Predicto Mobile players say yes!

Read what voters had to say about the song’s chart-topping potential!

American Idol vs. Lost: Who Will Be the Ratings Winner?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Tonight TV’s schedule is shaping up to be a real clash of the titans! ABC’s Lost returns for its sixth and final season, but the drama will compete against the ratings juggernaut known as Fox’s American Idol.

Lost, a fan favorite in its early years and still a cult phenomenon today, has plenty of loose ends to tie up and unanswered questions that need addressing. Since the season is the end of the series, viewers will likely want to see every second of the drama surrounding our favorite stranded islanders.

Meanwhile, we’re hoping American Idol will introduce us to the next “Pants on the Ground” viral hit song. Though the show’s ratings have dropped slightly this season, Idol has reigned supreme as one of the most watched shows on television. With Hollywood Week coming soon and Ellen DeGeneres finally taking her seat at the judges’ table, Idol will only be a stronger contender on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

So, as the battle royale begins, which show will come out on top? Voting Predicto Mobile members say American Idol, which received 77% of the votes.

“I figured Lost would get big ratings because it’s the last season,” says member “ztip8211.”

“The Lost trend seemed to wear off quickly. American Idol is strong still,” says “Payge0713.”

But it looks like “nwyd4298” won’t be watching either, saying “Don’t care, isn’t Law and Order on?”

Who will be crowned the king of Tuesday night?
