Oprah … Ellen … Tyra … Sarah? Former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is bailin’ out of her role as the governor of Alaska at the end of the month for reasons which have yet to be explained. Is it because a scandal is coming that will taint her tenure in office? Is she tired of the backlash her family has received while in the public spotlight? Or does Palin have ambitions of Oprah-like proportions?
Rumors are rampant that John McCain’s ex-running mate has been in talks with the networks to be a conservative voice on the talk-show circuit. With a book also in the works, and an ability to rally pro-lifers and those who believe in small government, Palin just might be a softer, approachable and much more likeable version of Ann Coulter.
“I think that a Sarah Palin talk show [would] be a nice show. She looks like she can connect with many,” says Predicto Mobile member “cnqw8704.”
“[But] even if Palin does get a talk show, I don’t think that very many people will watch it, except maybe the ones that voted for her and [John] McCain,” counters “ztwt9152.”
Since the number of registered Republicans and Democrats is so close in this country, it’s no surprise that nearly 51% of the Predicto Mobile community predicts that Sarah Palin will announce she’s getting a talk show by 11/20. But some think her motivation is a bit more egotistical.
“I think that Palin just wants more attention and fame than she will ever get from being governor,” says “rory5268.”
“I can’t imagine her putting herself out there even more after the way the public has crucified her from the start,” says “sezy7839.”
If Sarah P. gets a show, will you tune in? And most importantly, will Tina Fey have to find a new victim to lampoon? Visit Predicto.com to find out if Palin does indeed get her own platform to discuss her platforms, as well as get the answers to other pop culture quizzes and to answer questions just like this right on your mobile phone. If there’s one thing people are passionate about, it’s coffee. Java is the juice that kick-starts the morning for millions of Americans.
Naturally, with so many relying on the drink to get them going, there is plenty of debate about who has the best brew.
For years, the battle for supremacy raged between Dunkin’ Donuts and the No. 1-preferred king of coffee, Starbucks. But McDonald’s, better known for Big Macs and McNuggets, has entered the fray with a marketing blitz for its McCafé coffee offerings, which includes both hot and cold drinks.
In a recent survey of 8,000 connoisseurs, BIGResearch found that Mickey D’s had surpassed Dunkin’ as the No. 2 favorite. This comes as the fast-food chain cuts into Starbucks’ share of the market.
As of this writing, aggressive advertising (and in some cases, 24-hour drive-thrus) has only convinced 39% of the Predicto Mobile community to predict that McDonald’s will surpass Starbucks as everyone’s favorite coffee by 11/30.
“McCafé is best the coffee, so McDonald’s will steal the No. 1 spot from Starbucks,” says member “Bmay75.” But “kristileigh” agrees with the majority so far, simply stating that, “Starbucks is the best!”
Hmmm, looks like this back-and-forth could go on for a while. Stay in the know, on the go and with your cup o’ joe by visiting Predicto.com. We’ll make sure you get your fix of the latest and greatest surveys on the hottest topics. And don’t forget to become a fan of Predicto on Facebook!

Nadya Suleman. Don’t recognize her name? How about the mother of 14 children, including octuplets?
Yes, that woman. It’s hard to miss hearing about the woman who has no money and no support yet seems to think its possible to raise all these kids on her own. Now some might believe that Nadya’s an Angelina Jolie wannabe, but I think Nadya’s hopes for stardom are a little less A-list.
Really, she just wants her clan to be the next Jon & Kate Plus 8, the famous family made up of one set of twins and one set of sextuplets. Their show on TLC is wildly popular, and Jon and Kate seem to subsidizing their large brood with money from their show, plus endorsements for baby-related necessities. Nadya is unemployed, but claims that she wants to go back to school at some point to earn her master’s degree as a way of making money. The only income she has right now though are welfare and food stamps. Think its possible to raise 14 kids on $490 a month?
The Predicto Mobile community doesn’t seem to think so: 51% vote that the mother of octuplets will get her own reality show by June. (I think its her only option in being able to care for them. Unless she wants to rent her kids to a circus, like Apu did on The Simpsons.)

We’ve all come down with Obama fever! It’s hard to ignore all the media coverage regarding the historic inauguration of our 44th President of the United States. The entire world is blissed out at the prospect–this event is like New Year’s Eve, Election Night 2008 and Mardi Gras all rolled into one.
The Predicto Mobile community has some predictions on what will happen during the inauguration:
84% believe more than 2 million people attend President-Elect Obama’s swearing in ceremony. If you’ve seen the shiny, happy crowds that have already descended on Washington DC, you know this is probably the case.
66% believe that Michelle Obama will wear a dress designed by Oscar de la Renta at the inauguration. Michelle is the biggest fashion icon since Jackie Kennedy, and perhaps she’ll wear a gown designed by the same person responsible for the inaugural looks of former First Ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.
93% believe that at least 100 million people will watch the telecast of the Obama swearing-in ceremony. The mostly highly rated inaugural dates back to the 1981 ceremony for President Ronald Reagan, which received 42 million viewers. You think there will be a few more eyeballs watching Obama’s? Since probably 100 million people to go and can’t, it is a safe bet they’ll all be tuning in at home instead.
Happy Inauguration Day everyone!

Happy New Year! And what better way to start out 2009 then with the inauguration of our new president, the 2008 Person of the Year?
Barack Obama will be sworn in on Jan. 20th in our nation’s capitol, and its the party that practically every person in this country wants to attend. (Except Republicans, who are planning to get the heck out of Dodge that weekend.)
But how many will brave the massive crowds and exorbitant hotel costs to stand shoulder to shoulder for hours in icy, bone-chilling weather?
I know what you’re thinking. 1 million people from around the world went to NYC’s Times Square this year to see the ball drop on New Year’s Eve–and that little event happens every year.
The Obama inaugural is a much more historic occurrence. Plus he’s revered like a superhero, and has an adorable family and A-list celeb supporters to boot. So perhaps the real question is: just how many people are going anyway?
Well, the Predicto Mobile community thinks that it will be a lot. In fact, 88% voted that more than 2 million people will attend President-Elect Obama’s swearing-in ceremony.
In any case, no matter how many people go, it will definitely be the largest crowd to ever attend a presidential inauguration in U.S. history!

Rick Stengel, the managing editor of Time Magazine, was on the Today show this morning trying might hard to pretend that Barack Obama wouldn’t necessarily be Time Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2008. But he was convincing as…oh, let’s say Jennifer Aniston insisting she’s moved on from the Brangelina mess.
Even Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera couldn’t hide their skepticism. They actually kind of mocked Stengel as he rattled off a list of names–Tina Fey, Sarah Palin, Michael Phelps, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson–that he insisted were contenders for the honor.
C’mon, can there be any doubt about which person had the biggest impact on the world these past 365 days? Is winning some gold medals or doing great sketch comedy more important than being the first African-American president in the United States history?
The Predicto Mobile community agrees: 88% predicted that Barack Obama be Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2008.
And if Obama isn’t chosen, I call FAIL on Time Mag. Just because Obama’s the expected choice doesn’t mean you should try to be “unconventional” and pick the guy who designed the Olympics’ opening ceremonies. (Yup, he’s an actual candidate.)
UPDATE: Yup, it’s him.

Here’s the one thing this country can agree on, red and blue states alike: we are all sick of the presidential election. I personally never want to hear these buzzwords or phrases ever again:
Maverick. Caribou Barbie. Pitbull and lipstick. Hockey mom. Joe the Plumber. Reformer. Bridge to Nowhere. Main Street vs. Wall Street.
Enough, right? Let’s just vote already and be done with it. But can you believe that mere days away from the election, some people are still undecided? What more do these undecideds need to know? Was there a real lack of information on where Barack Obama and John McCain stand on the important issues?
I mean, we’ve only had the primaries, the Republican and Democratic conventions, three presidential and one vice-presidential debates, hundreds of commercials, a 30 minute informercial, SNL parodies, The View “Hot Topic” shoutfests, spin room punditry on network and cable news, not to mention the millions of articles and blog posts written about every single piece of minutiae related to the campaign.
So if you’re undecided three days before the election, maybe just don’t vote okay?
As for the rest of America, those people who have taken the time to make an informed decision on arguably the most significant election in their lifetimes–how are they voting?
Well we’ll find out on November 4th of course. The PredictoMobile community, however, strongly favor one candidate: 77% predicted that Barack Obama will be elected President of the United States.
